Classification: Accounting Clerk
Compensation: $16.50 to $18.15 hourly
Robert Half is looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk for a reputable organization. The Accounting Clerk will primarily be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Key responsibilities
- Post financial information to journals and ledgers
- Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
- Support Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
- Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
- QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred- Administrative Assistance experience
- Account reconciliation experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
- experience in in Spreadsheet and ERP system
- BA in Accounting or related field preferred
