Job Summary:
Provide vehicle operators with service and operational information and help troubleshoot and repair equipment. Work with R&D Shop personnel, design, testing, software engineers and vehicle operators to assist with product quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
? Provide equipment operators with technical assistance and service information
? Troubleshoot and repair equipment on site
? Liaise with design engineering, testing, R&D shop and operators to assist with product quality improvement and modifications
? Compile feedback reported by operator(s) and communicate with relevant department for resolutions
? Assist implementing changes/upgrades on vehicles
? Immediate on site emergency travel to repair non operating units
? Assist and provide support for testing, R&D shop or Engineering team if necessary
? Review and record failure claims, report and track all failures issues.
? Assist in preparation and shipment of kits/service parts to units
? Ability to be on call during peak season for after service calls from Dealers
? International travel
? Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
? Preference given to those with a minimum of 5 years mechanical experience with farm equipment or similar
? Journeyman Mechanic / Mechanical Technologist Certificate or similar background preferred
? A good knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
? Excellent communication and decision-making skills
? Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
? Good problem solving skills. Must be comfortable providing technical advice
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Knowledge of Microsoft Office, computers and software
? Hold a valid driver's license and passport- Must be able to travel to various sites in North America
