Classification: Financial Analyst
Compensation: $25.65 to $29.70 hourly
Robert Half is on the hunt for a Financial Analyst to join an expanding company. In this role, you will perform financial modeling on a number of financial products as well as be responsible for measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. You will also be responsible for advising management on the allocation of resources to best complete objectives and preparing reports for management. As part of a dynamic team, you will be a key business partner in areas including forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role is a contract employment opportunity and is located in Winnipeg. We seek someone who has internal drive and strong potential for professional growth and development.
Your responsibilities
- Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
- Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide decision making support
- Work with the Accounting group to lead the monthly and quarterly close process
- Assemble and overview forecasting reports
- Adaptable applicant skilled in dealing with large amounts of information and meeting expectations
- Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
- Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
- Uncover the influencing factors that are driving performance and trends
- Monitor monthly and quarterly performance by comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources effectively
- Own monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
- Inspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience favored)
- Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
- BA degree in finance or a related field
- Deep understanding of Monthly Financial Reports
- Foundational knowledge in Prepare Financial Reports
- Expertise in Annual Financial Reporting
- Financial analysis experience
- Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
